And yes the towels are there as a fire blanket for when I weld.
Damn, I thought you were hiding some super secret parts under the blankets.

Nice work. I'm going to post this on Honda-Tech and see what they think of it. :P

okay, no one has asked this so i'm gonna... are the runners on your mani the same length? 1 and 4 should match and 2 and 3 should match for better flow. isn't this the theory? i love the manifold, but how is it going to flow, or you just don't give a ----. :P

Your kinda getting ---- mixed up. The manfiold is going to flow good weather its equal length or not. The equal length is better for tuning cause it balances all the cylinders out. The merge collection is what makes it flow good. I'm only going for 350hp so it really doesn't matter that cylinder 1 is 2 inches shorter than cylinder 4.

oh. i don't know a whole lot about manifold design , i just assume because EL mani's are usually designed so that the runners are the same length, there is a purpose behind it. tuning? can you explain a little further how having all the cylinders balanced makes it easier to tune? i have the TOTD's (touch of the downs) so make it really basic to understand, is the advantage really worth the effort? i assume not since you are doing it whitey style. or could you point me to some really good literature or link on the principles of manifold design. i'm lazy too.

Its alot to explain on how to build a good manifold but basically what it comes down to is you want a smooth merge collection and all the runners to be equal length. If you build a manifold like this, no matter what it looks like I guarantee it'll perform exactly like a Full-Hype manifold.

Beyond this point you'll need to do your own research, if your serious about it than here's some good info but you'll need some type of engineering backround to understand them.

http://www.sae.org/servlets/SiteSear...pe=ALL&x=7&y=6

Than you'll really learn how to build a manifold to optimize scavenging, eliminate resonance, prevent crossover and actually tune a torque curve through merge collection design and runner lengths. A properly designed manifold can actually prevent detonation and also a good manifold design can also dictate the type of turbine you run.

As you can tell I really love manifold designs, thats why I get so pissed everytime I see a rip off ramhorn manifold or an ssautoshit
