New Turbo, Just some Questions

Re: New Turbo, Just some Questions
Wow do somepeople not read.
I'm not looking for an actuator, Already got a 5.5, 6.5, and an 8psi, not looking for a flange from weir.
I'm looking for a internal Wastegate housing WITH Wastegate flapper that has a & BOLT design, Not a 5 bolt, This way I can run an internal wastegate instead of a external. I would like to run an external but I don't have the cash for a new manifold and wastegate.

Re: New Turbo, Just some Questions
I think what everybody here is missing, and what I was missing at first, is that the actuator is attached to the piece of dp he has, so he either needs an external wastegate and a block off flange for the dp, or a dp piece that fits that has the right flapper location.
if I was you I'd just chop that dp piece you have and weld on your exhaust for now, and be looking for the part you need, and consider external gate for the future.

Re: New Turbo, Just some Questions
Ya, I choped it today, to see what can be done. The turbo is gonna sit for a while and I'll run the 14b till then. I just want my car back. External wastegate is what I would really want because eventually(next winter) I'll have to get one anyways and a block off plate would be no problem to make(either weir or myself). Maybe in the time it takes me to get the t3 ready I'll find a solution.

Re: New Turbo, Just some Questions
maybe with some fabrications skills you and aaron can come up with a dp flange that has a flapper on it, just look at the design on the cast unit and figure out what needs to be done, it's probably not too hard, just a rod with a piece of metal that sticks out the top fo the pipe for the actuator arm to attach to.
