Ummm, you need a vaccuum source on the BOV, intercooled or not.

i doubt it was blowing off before, you were maybe hearing more noticeable compressor surge. bov HAS to have vacuum to open when the throttle is released, unless you're just running soo much boost that it opens b/c of all the pressure, but not likely to happen with just 10psi

owned.

someone jumped into things a bit. You know a bov is supposed to make noise, but you don't know how... well the vacuum from the intake manifold that is created when you close the throttle plate lifts up the piston in the bov, opening it for the excess pressure to be released, thus the woosh sound. If you "bov" made noise before the vacuum line was hooked up, you were hearing that excess boost go back through the turbo and trying to stop it from spinning = bad!!

If your car sounds like a car on the Fast and the Furious, you have issues. Hook up your bov to any vacuum source on the IM (ie. the fuel pressure regulator line, just use a t-fitting) and you'll have a working bov.
