Its only a 14b if its from a manual(1st gen dsm), if the car is auto and he says its a 14b its bullshit its prolly a 13b(1st gen dsm auto) or a t25(2nd gen auto and manual)

ok ... so i just checked out the turbo my friend has .. its a 14b with no noticable shaft play and it includes the od housing and hes gonna let me have it for 100 bucks ....

sound like a good deal to you guys

probably a good deal.. even with minimal shaft play they can burn oil, though

i have a t25 and love how it spools. i rarely ever rev higher than 6000 rpm.. but i can notice a slight drop off. overall im happy with the t25

i run a t3/to4b dont see full boost until 4500 rpms but it pulls 8 times harder than a 14b. made 251 hp not even running correectly
