Default NEED HELP! Can't rotate center section w/ pics! Any advice much appreciated.

Hey guys seems like everytime I get a junkyard turbo rotating the oil inlet and outlet on the turbo is a big pain. Its always corroded together. Well I got all the blots loose and even some out but still cant get the center section to budge. Does anyone have any tips to what I can do to rotate this center section. LMK guys thanks alot.

Also one more question do you think that broken bolt will effect anything. Im def. going to grind it down and put it in the middle of the clamp not the outside. I would think it would be perfecty ok but I remember in the past I broke a bolt like this and had a small oil leak out of it. Well thanks.

i had this problem, try a few hits with a rubber mallet, if that fails try heating the centre section. there might be a little dowel stopping the centre section from rotating so it might need to be separated from the exhaust housing a little first.

when I had the same problem i just took a piece of wood and a hammer and tapped the exhaust housing away from the center section...

For me the only way to get em loose was a vice, a torch and a hammer. Maybe some WD40 too but I forget.

I would hit it with the PB blaster, like soak it down. Come back tomorow and it should be buttery smoothe to take apart.
