Default is my turbo so small it will cause problems?

hello everyone..I have a RHB5 turbo thats in great condition.but its very small,im gonna port and polish the turbo as much as i can. is this gonna be way to small for my b16a2? i just want a turbo that spools up very fast that makes power to maybe 7k RPM since the turbo is so small.and another question, i can get a turbo off a old dodge daytona or a crysler lancer..is this turbo bigger then a RHB5?..will it work better then the rhb5? by the way what kind of turbos come on the dodge daytonas anyway?

The RHB5 is way to small for the B16a, it will probably stop pulling at 6000 rpms, It would have good torque, but in our past experiences, RHB5's are even to small for ZC's.

The Chrysler turbos are a little bit bigger, but not much, its like the smallest t3 you can get... I would be looking for something a bit bigger.

well, i understood that the turbo would just dropp off high in the RMP range.. i just really want some more low end torque.. Will porting out the turbo help me gain some more top end power?

Not really, the size wheel is what makes the turbo stop flowing good at the top end.

dont get me wrong, you will probably get get a good 40tq gain at the bottom end, but B16a's like RPM's, and RHB5's dont, something I wouldnt mix.

At higher RPM's the turbo will simply be running max effiencey, basically producing hot *** air, and doing nothing, making the car seem slower than normal, Example, if you were to dyno, your peak power would probably be at 5900-6000 and just drop off big time after that.

Trust me, I have done this ---- several times, those turbos are just way to ------- small for a B16

I agree with Jeff on this. Having a VTEC drop off after 6000 RPM would suck real bad, and I mean you would change your mind pretty quick after you felt it drop. Get a high CFM turbo with nice size wheel... you can't go wrong.

ok..welp then im gonna get rid of the RHB5 and find my a T3 from a mustang SVO..i can get a dodge daytona turbo for 50 bucks..but i guess that would still be to small.thank for talking me out of the RHB5..i am sure im making a good choice by using a larger turbo.
