Default Are there any motor problems that would cause a turbo to loss boost like a leak?

I cant figure it out. My car was driving normal till I popped off my BOV. I replaced the bov,I my car get up to 7 psi where it should be then drop on its *** to 5psi @ 4k rpm. I've had boost leaks before but this one I cant find with soap water + air pump.

When I hook up the electric air pump to my intake, It will build 7psi of boost and just sit there. Does this sound right? In the past when I've had boost leaks I dont believe that I could hold pressure in my system.

Any ideas would be greatly appericated!

itmight be a blown head gasket... most cars will still run with a blow HG but not have good compression.. do a compression check...

i dont think any internal part in your motor can cause a boost leak,my friend had a motor with bad rings, bad headgasket, bad valve seals and he was still holding 9psi all the way to redline,of course the motor dint last much lol. try checking the bov(push on it if you can move it with your finger then thats your problem.check all the ic piping, clamps make sure they are tigh, check all the vacum hoses. i recently had a boost leak on my car turns out it was one of the clamps got loose when my car overboosted to about 12psi.
