Default My boss's flywheel...(pics)

Boss rocked up this morning with his flywheel in his hand....




A little screwed hey? Off his turbo Rex B18 vtec.
Anyone else ever experienced this?

what brand flywheel is that? I bet his flywheel bolts came loose

Honda OEM as far as I know.
Probably came loose.... otherwise it doesn't really seem possible to do that....

thats not a honda flywheel, honda never put aluminum flywheels in any of its cars. Thats def an aftermarket piece. Im gonna guess fidanza?

I don't think it's the flywheel that caused it. Loose flywheel bolts would seem to be the culprit. Looks like they weren't even tightened down and someone just dropped the hammer on the throttle and from not being tightened down it ran into the bolts and then one or some came loose and fucked that thing up! Did your boss not install that thing or what cause how could of he not known that thing is aftermarket. You can see the thread marks in the side of the opening for bolt on the flywheel. From the looks of the flywheel it looks pretty abuse.

lol, that will happen when the flywheel bolts are not tight enough, remember kids when the impact gun stops turning is the proper torque

Pete Estremera, old skool Hybrid board member posted as Trickturn, and as pest on HT, went through two Fidanza's, did the same thing as that one did. Pete was not a dummy, torqued his flywheel bolts to spec, and after the first one got all goofy for no good reason he made sure to chase the crankshaft's threads with a tap first. No dice.

He forked over the 1.9 million dollars required for a Toda unit and never looked back.
