what brand of spray paint did u use on ur rex i really like the color

 

any pics or mods on the starion/conquest in the 1st pic on page 1

 

only mod to the conquest is the blown motor thats been sitting in the trunk for 4 years now. Not my car and if it was it would be running.

 

looks good i ran them srps them locks are a bitch

 

lock's hard to put in? i used harbor frieght cdm PICE OF RICE ---- snap ring priers and had my brother hold the sissor part or them with needle nose "FLAT" keep it form wiggling out of place and we did it in 5 minuts or so just gota have a little help " na im saying "

Little muddy from the trails last night.

 

All thats left is to put the rear main seal on then the oil pan and its done.




The oil drain for the turbo on the new oil pan.

 

looks like those 450s will need an upgrade after the break in.
good job on the build.
Makes me want to build and boost my dohc zc crx.

 

that oil drain is awesome. i wish more people would use that idea it's easier

 

Well I hit a small set back on my motor build. after I got it all back together and put the spark plugs in it. I rotated the crank and got a really weird sound. It was oil making bubbling noises as it squeezed thew the rings. :1


I forgot to properly aline the ring end gaps on the #2 piston.

So my brand new head gasket hit the trash.


1.5 hours and $40 later its all back together.


Tomaorrow I'm going to clean and paint the transmission and hopefully start on the cluster swap and wiring.
