I had some problems with timing, and worked them out. (specifically too much and then I pulled more and it runs ok)

Now it pulls fine to redline regardless of gear( havent tried in 4th or 5th). But after the pull the motor feels bogged down regardless of gear, and I can't accelerate or keep speed. I pull over and it won't rev. I shut it down and wait a minute( or less) and start it up and it runs fine. My afc settings were about -35 till 5k then increasing fuel to -30 at 7k.

My thought is it's too much fuel and the plugs are getting fouled then after it has a sec to sit/burn off the plugs they work again and it is fine. Thoughts?

Did you check the plugs?

Sounds to me like you could be right.

 

I had this same issue when I was tuning with my afc, and I have 460cc injectors from an rx-7. what helped me out a lot is reading the FAQ on tuning with the afc, check that out, check out your plugs, and hopefully that will help.
