Hey guys, I have a D15b7 and I am boosting at 8lbs right now, and here are my following mods:

HF manifold w/ adapter plate
Big 16g
starion intercooler w/ all necessary piping
1g bov
rx-7 460cc injectors
afc
arp headstuds
stainless steal headgasket
all oil lines and what not

My question is, there's a little bit of oil build up coming from the compressor side housing by where my 2g j-pipe is connected. I can hear very subtle metal on metal when in very low rpms in first and second gear, so I'm thinking that my seals are beginning to go on me. How can I check to make sure that this is exactly what's wrong with the turbo? Should I take off the compressor housing and take a look at the seals? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Measure the shaft play in the turbo.

 

Chinese Domestic Market, aka Ebay Turbo.. As in are you running an eBay knock off. If so, your seals are probably blown.. I'd shoot Blaast (sponsor on here) a pm to see what he can do about a rebuild for it.

 

ah, i see, no jackie chan turbo for me, it's a big 16g off a galant vr4. i'll look him up
