Hmmmmmmm, what a coincedence. I was at a friend's house last night and he's been tearing down an old R/C helicopter his ol ladies dad gave to him. He said man, this thing is chock full of ball bearings. Just so happen to have a tower hobbies catalog too. I might look into this as well. I gave him my old blaast 50 trim for helping me out with swapping on the new 60 trim. We might tear that 50 trim down and give it a looksee....

------ hell, im going to go rip apart my two broken 16gs.

OK SO, i got em apart and im looking at the bushings, the brass bits are a bit scored but for the most part are in good shape. So the trick is to what replace these bushings with bearings that match the od and id?

when ordering bearings, they will be listed as (EXAMPLE) '5x11' which is the INSIDE x OUTSIDE diams. the last # is the width (usually 4mm)

Update: Got a bearing to test fit, stupid thing was 11 dollars ... ID is to small and OD is super super close. The bearing itself is super narrow so im going to bore the bushing out an duse it as a spacer. The other thing im wondering is how to setup the bearings to be bathed in oil, both cages are open faced so i figure as long as its not directling lined up with the oil holes theyll get oil. Ill machine the turbo shaft msyelf to get it down to fit the bearings

OD of journal is 16mm ID 9mm, width is 9mm ,Ballbearing OD 16mm ID 8mm width is 4mm

IF the bearings werent 10 bux each id stack 4 of the bitches in there.

The plan is this: I'm going to put the shaft in my drill, im gonna spin it and sand it till I take 1mm off the shaft. I will then slip 2 bearings in. Any ideas for the 4mm spacer im going to need? Id rather not stuff it full of fawking bearings at 10bux a pop. 40bux isnt the hmt way.

Blaast you should go ahead and balance this for me for free since im so awsome.
