Turbo Miatas ------- rule!

Why the AEM FIC, though? Trying to stay OBD2 compliant?

To be honest, I'm too refined for an FMU,AFC or emanage, too poor for a PNP Megasquirt and too intimidated for a DIY megasquirt so the FIC fit the bill nicely. It's pretty badass as piggybacks go though. MAF emulation, direct injector control, good enough ignition control, narrowband signal manipulation, onboard MAP. As retarded as it sounds, it has no WB02 logging but it'll be available with the next firmware.

You're going to have to define good enough ignition control? Miata B6 engines are small bore engines, just like D-series they don't like a lot of timing.

I'll fire up my laptop and get a picture of Ari's timing map on his 1.6 for you in the next couple days, it's based off stock (aka NA) Miata ignition tables.

dude, i was just trying to count your wires there. looks like about 40 total (i got 41?) ms has a 37 pin plug. i tried to count how many you have left over after ignoring many of them, ms has less normally.

i know its too late now, but seriously, ms isnt that hard. no worse than any other ecu to wire in. the built ones arent even that bad price wise. and there is a miata guide on diyautotune here : http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_arti...azda_miata.htm

so, next time, just dive in, there are at least another few ms ppl on this site that can help you out if you need it (most dont need much help)

Im curious as to where you got the AEM from? I am going to get one for the hmt is300 project I am doing. The stock ecu owns me on this car and I have read that it works very well with it. Nice setup though.

I'll second that. Ms isn't really that bad, especially with a well known app like the miata. You can get rid fo so many wires using it.

My pops has a red 94 miata he commutes with. hes 6'1" and about 270. Fits in it just fine. I do love the build. I told him about doing a turbo setup but hes definitely not looking in that direction. He calls it the "barbie car".

It's got an RPM vs MAP map for retard. Gonna go with 1 degree/psi, maybe 1.25. It definitely is a ping happy little bastard. Gonna tune it rich like I always do too.
