which manifold is better??

Default which manifold is better??

i have a friend who makes manifolds hes making one for my homemadeturbo which ones better the log style or the other one?

Log style manifolds are not a "good" manifold. They are cheap and serve a purpose. They are by no means a "race" manifold. The closer you get to equal length the better, so the straighter the shot and the smoother the path is, the better. Just by looking at them you can tell which one will flow better. The log manifold shoots exhaust directly at a wall, which common sense tells me that it's not going to be the best way to move air.

A good merge collector will produce much more power than a log style. The goal is to create a smooth flow, aviod gas swirling and causing back resonance

thanks which one would u choose tho dr boost first one?? well im not expecting something killer just neeed something for around 6-8psi on a sohc motor oh and hes charging me 250canadian for the manifold and downpipe which i think is killer when i get a dohc fully built ill look into the lovefab but for now i just need something that works better then a log haha

I can't see the second pic, but in the first pic I would say the top one is the best looking. From what I can see in the pictures it looks like the bottom one has a weird design where the middle runners are pointing. Is the top one like that? I would choose the top or the bottom one over the log. It's not going to make a gigatic difference when your only running 6psi though.

thanks top it is the bottom pic was suppose to be a picture of inside the manifold from the bottom but it doesnt seem to be working thanks for your help doc

i woukldnt get sweaty over equal length. just get a 4into1 and screw the log.
