Default 2 intake Manifold Y8/Z6 Which is better?

I have two intake manifold, which is better with a mini-me setup that I have, choice either to do a D16Y7/Y8 head or a D15b7/Y8 head, which manifold is better with the combination. I know that the Y8 intake manifold doesn't have an air temp sensor on it and the Z6 does. If I used the Y8 intake manifold w/o the sensor would the engine still run fine?

y8's dont have an iat in the manifold they are located in the intake pipe typical obd2 stuff

same applies to b16a2 motors and the list goes on

Good to know, but wouldn't it make more sense to run it in the IM to have a more accurate reading? With it in the pipe wouldn't it run richer?
If that's the case I would put a bung in the Y8 IM for the IAT or have it as close to the TB as possible on the pipe.

I have never had a problem running them in the pipe. I mean you could drill into the back of the mnaifold if your ---- but I think its not really that important if it was honda wouldnt be throwing them in intakes.

I haven't even used the iat and it ran fine.

as far as the question, whatever one you can get the cheapest or the one you sell for more, use the other one.

Z6 is preferred, esp when adding boost.

the y8 mani is said to be the itr mani of the d-series.. big fat plenum and short fat runners.. would definatly be great for boost especially mid-top end wise
