So, the truck has made ALOT of progress lately.
If i had just wanted to get it on the road, i could have a long time ago... but there are many little things that i keep updating and making a little bit better.
Here's the new engine... Painted the block black, and intake manifold Red.
After it was all in, and i realized there was a hopeless chance of leaning the engine back far enough to get that mile long T56 tranny in... the cross member had to be notched.
Then, tranny went in, and I had to make a tranny cross member. Stock one would not do, and weighed a ton. So i used some 6" channel Iron.
Used a piece this thick because it will also be the mount for the turbo location, and the mount for the Remote Oil Pump.
Also had to notch back the tranny tunnel hole in the floorboard. Shifter fit about 4 inches more rearward than stock 5 speed.
SO, i had to keep a little HMT style in this truck.... AND HERE IT IS!!!!!
Good ol' Husky tools.
It's acctually extremely comfortable and ergonomically positioned.
Driveshaft fit's PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Very strange that it worked out like that with the Ford rear end, and the T56 being 6 inches more rearward.
Battery relocated to the rear as well.
Tie down to be added soon.
So, LS1, 6 speed, T70 turbo, Ford 8.8 rear end with 3.73's and posi.....
I think i have a problem...
ONLY 100 MPH?!?!?!?!? WTF!!!!!!
Radiator support is back in, most of the front end, radiator
NEW SUPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!
Friend of mine took out his rear seats out of his 04 GTO to mount a nitrous bottle.
So, his rear seats are now my front seats.
Fabbed up some brackets for the bottom, welded in some seat belt brackets to the floor... Still gotta fix up the rear back rest of the seat.
C5 corvette fans mounted and wired. Relay's too on firewall.
Now, starting the mid pipe from the headers to turbo.
All done! 2.5" piping from headers to turbo.
And Downpipe being Fabbed.... Another true HMT shot.
3" dowpipe straight out the back.
MONEY SHOT!!!!!!!!
Ladder bars are now welded in w/ brackets.
Wheel hop.... what wheel hop? What IS wheel hop My truck will have no idea... never will she hear of such a thing!!!!!!
CAB CORNER CANCER!!!!!!
Still needs to be addressed....
Just a glob of fiberglass resin left over from dad's sailboat.
Front springs cut to lowere it about 2.5-3"
Rear has 2" lowering blocks.
Ordered up some wheel adapters.
1.25" thick for rear wheels. 5x4.5 ford conversion adapter to 4x4.75 GM
2.00" thick for front wheels. 5x4.75 to 5x4.75 GM spacer.
$75 a pair on Egay. Nice pieces. Came with lugs.
Primer... 2 coats. Face of wheels and inside.
C5 stock wagon wheel corvette rims.
17x8.5" fronts, 18x9.5" rears.
2 coats primer, 3 coats black, came out amazing.
THEN>>>> first coat of clear and FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
Way too humid to be paintint with clear. It had just thunderstormed outside as well...
Luckily, they dried ok after two days.
Sandblasted frame, and starting to paint. Hired help in the pic.
SO, THAT IS THE UPDATE.
Got screwed over for a set of head bolts (ARP), and a Fidanza 4.3 clutch... Thats on the to buy list now....

Fuel...
Got the c5 Vette feed and return lines to work perfectly with the truck.
I hate quick disconnect fittings, so i used my brake line flare tool, and ran 3/8" brake lines all the way back to the tank for my fuel lines.
These S10's, you can't change just the fuel pump. You need to do the whole sending unit. I chose not to participate in complying with this rule... They put it together somehow... Therefore, i can take it apart and put in my new Walbro!!!!!!!! Yes sir i did.
Got the Deka 60# injectors in there, with the Uego Wideband also placed 36" post turbo in the exhaust stream.... So we're covered for 8-10lbs of boost in the fuel department
