Thanks for posting all those times you read off the internet, they matter soo much in realy life. Climb down off your dsm's ******* and go check out some quad4 or gm boards, and look at real times. Hell I just bought some parts off a guy with a 91 grand am HO that runs 15.1 at 90mph with just an intake, which of course youll prolly say Im bullshitting or something but thats just one example.

Oh and btw, my cars a twin cam not a quad 4

 

gms are def fast.

untill they break hah, which they do all to often - the point

They take a shity design and push it so its fast

honda takes a good design and limits it so its reliable

 

my friend had a nice 96ish grand am gt, the smaller ones. ---- was quick and could chirp second nice stock but it was junk

i even owned one onces *shrugs* a nice 94 convertable cavalier with the 3.4 pos.

was quick as hell for an auto but talk about never ending problems on a 120k car

 

i had a 89 lude with 250k, i regasketed it and it ran strong as ---- and ran high 15s till i sold it at like 280k still in near mint condition.

 

reguardless what u have, i've seen plenty of gm pos grand am grand prix's turbo non-turbo,quad 4,dual cam,hunks of trash

 

the ecotec isnt really a shitty engine just needs to be put in a better car. they need put the ecotec in the volt chassis that would be a fun ride

 

Unless it was swapped in not a chance, and those things aren't that bad, if it was tuned properly and had everything done right wouldn't have had a single problem adn it would have ahd better gas milage then any other cav also
