Looking for a Junkyard Turbo for a CRX with a B16b
Hi....
New to the forum here. Just looking for advise from those who had alread paved the way...
I've been salvaging from the Local Pick-a-Parts and came across a Supra 7M-GTE turbo. Really tempted to buy it. Just wondering if this would work with my motor or should i look for something smaller.
Any links to good sources of DIY turbos suppliles like flanges, manifolds, writeups... etc. for my motor?
Thanks in advance.

keep reading the forums.. make it a habit of coming in here at least 3 times a day. and check out the turbo projects on the main site as a reference
read, read, and read some more, more than likely you will answer your own questions.
otherwise you should put on your flame-proof suit cause people will torch your *** for beeing lazy.

I thought the B16 motor is a pretty high compression motor to begin with.
I apologize for asking questions that had already been answered but I've exhaused the search options and could'nt really find much on this specific turbo on my motor.
Has anyone been sucessful at making good horsepower with this combination?

ya b16b's are a bit high in compression, 10.8:1, but it will work. i would reccomend using ghettodyne or zdyne for fuel management. the fuel management is what will keep it from blowing up so you wanna spend most of the money there.
if you really want to you could do lower compresion pistons. or an easy way to lower the compression is a greddy metal headgasket, that will take it down about a 9.8:1.
if it is tuned right you wont have to run much boost and it will still haul *** with that high compression.
