Haha...that's the same size turbo that I had...got rid of it cause it was way too big for me. Same deal too...didn't really spool until 5800 then started dropping some. Mine I know for a fact though that it was the "o" trim (cause it had it tagged on the housing) and man was that thing huge

The number printed inside the housings is not the trim. It's the A/R.
Yeah that's deinitely a 0.60 a/r T04B compressor. The trim is not written anywhere but it looked like a S or T5/6 trim to me, which is good for 300-350 HP.

Yes, that twin scroll 0.84 a/r turbine is huge. I could not make one spool correctly on a maxima V6 so imagine on your car... Blocking one side of the inlet flange sounds like a plan. That's some big time HMT ---- however!! I have a O trim 0.48 a/r T4 turbine housing in stock if you want. That would make more sense.

If i were to do this to a turbo this size do any of yall think it would spool decent on a dohc zc. Ive had one laying around that a buddy of mine got from a junkyard, but im not sure if i would like the result.

sorrey about my stupid noob question..
i reely confused because i new in this business
so my question is..: you have external waste gate, do you have boost line or vaccum line in this waste gate ? and where it connecting if not to the turbo ?? ( i saw in your pics that the line goes to the motor)(i know that in internal westgate has boost line coonected to the compressor hose)

You know you're absolutly right. My old compressor housing caused mad full boost spinning, but then your .60 swap I did to mine changed it all. RIGHT as I'm about to shift it loses so it's perfect. At the track though I didn't hammer on it and looked silly. :P Thought it was a jokel, but in reality (as long as the launch is a launch not a burn out) it does act as traction control.

So the plate on one side would be like making the .84 closer to a .63 exhaust? Less volume to fill thus increased spool rate. How much faster?

EDIT: I had full boost before around 3700 in 3rd and now its about 4500 so I'm sure my 1st gear is similar to yours as my latter gears seem to share similar spool rates. (.42/.63 to a .60 compressor swap on a Y8.)
