Till I compared it to the engine its going on, that is a huge ------- turbo.
Its a Volvo T3, awaiting a rebuild, the engine behind is my D16Z6.

I wonder how I will spool that.

volvo t3's are only .42/.48 mostly.

thats actually kinda the small t3.

you will spool it just fine.

I know, but it just looks so frigin big, there is alot of material on that thing, very beefy. i'll be more worried about the manifold holding that thing up, its really heavy.

it ought to be fine unless the mani sucks.

you're holding it up with one hand while you take a pic, hopefully the steel your manifold is made outta is stronger than your arm.

look at it this way: I made my own manifold, it sucks, but it still holds the turbo without a problem. if you buy anything other than ssac then you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm gonna be making a ramhorn, so it should hold. i'm just worried about vibration and the many cracking at the welds, but i'll brace it somehow.

Is that a .42/.48? I just bought a one off a Volvo for my D16 that should be here soon, but it wont be on my car for about 6 months. Let me know how it runs once you get it rebuilt and put on there. Oh yeah, how are you gonna get that stupid *** Volvo T3 flange to seal up with a regualr T3 flange off the mani?
