I just got a Garrett GT23V from a friend of mine. its a bit bigger then CT20 bigger then NIssan V27 (which im using in my B16). the turbo is brand new with no shaft play. here are the details
Garrett 0.42a/r M53 (written on compressor side)
AL0010
GT23V
and it says made is france
this turbo also has a benz label on it.which means that its off of a Merc. has a internal wastegate but a little different type.

im thinking about putting it in my B16.......what do u guys think?
Does anyonehere have any ideaabout this turbo?":?? any flowmaps? how much HP is it good for??

Pull off the compressor and exhaust housings, then measure the small & large diameters of both wheels.

^^^ has info to match that roughly to a compressor, and give a very rough idea of what it can do. I know jack about the turbo, but with the wheel sizes and maybe AR sizes, I can give you an idea.

ct20 is weaksauce. ----, even the ct26 is weaksauce on a b16. Using anything other than a t3/t4 or a holset is futile. Unless doing 60' burnouts in first and second are your idea of sweet traction.

 

Yeh way too small , don't even think about using it your car will be slower , guaranteed.

Does it actually in real means that my car would be very slow
I lost to a CTR with I/H/E and Chipped Hondata on 7/8psi of boost. Was it because of small turbo?? will i be able to beat the same CTR on the same boost by running a bigger turbo

Can i use KKK k26 instead of my current and xpect better performance
