Maybe you should also think about just swaping the compressor and housing to the IHI T-bird. That way you dont have to worry about a new manifold flange, or down pipe.

I made 167whp/188ftlb at 8psi with IHI probe hot side with T-bird cold. You should have no problem with reaching your goal at 10psi with that same turbo. Plus that combination does better in the higher R's.

From the sound of what you have, and what you want, the T25 will be perfect for you. Bambooseven has a T25'd y8 and it's a fun little street car. Not made for big top end drag style, but a T25 will give you that "zippy" fast around town your looking for.

My stock 1st gen ZC with a T25 pushing 8psi i ran a 13.7 @107 on street tires spinning 1st through third. I'm using a ported vx mani and shitty fuel management.

The T25 is definatly a bigger turbo than the RHb5 from the Subaru/Probe. However its not a huge upgrade and might not be what you are hoping for. A 14b (td05h) would be a better turbo to upgrade to, or a 60/63, 60/48 T3 turbocharger. All these turbos spin pretty quick on stock d-series.

Will the t25 have the same topend as an RHB5 from a probe?
And what do I need to swap the compressors from a tbird? Woudl a rebuild be necesary?
