The turbo is on the small side, especially on a B series. You could put it but I could tell now that beyond 6200 rpms it will become inefficient. Anybody else?

Hi,
Is that depending on the amount of boost or on the flow capability?
I got a kkk k14 turbo the other day for my project and it's about the same size as a RHB5..if it runs out of oomph that early it might not be worth the effort trying it.

I can tell you myself, I have that turbo on my b16. It's REALLY small...killer fast spool, but it falls off very quick. The power stops at like 6k or so. Really crappy for the HWY espessially if some DSM is messing with ya...

It only flows 190cfm which is pretty bad. The funny thing, is that Mazda ran them on a 2.2 l (I have one 89MX6 GT), and it pulls ok, but redline is only at like 6k.

If you want to use it, you can get the compressor housing off a T-bird Turbo coupe, and make a hybrid turbo that will flow a ---- ton more. Check that out. www.mx6.com has more info on modding the turbo, since they all have them.

Just an idea, but ideally, a big T3 or a T3/T4 would suit your engine better...
