i ahve a rhb5 turbo off a 92 probe gt. i also have the probe intercooler. hat are the pluses and minuses to running this turbo.

 

Yup, thats a great turbo for any D-series project.. The intercooler maybe a pain to use, since it is kind of a odd shape, and the end tanks are a crappy location. But that can be fixed.

i have that same turbo on my ZC it works damn good! it nice spools up quick. would put it on a B16 though...

 

I love mine on the wagon. its from a subaru but the only diff is the wierd three bolt flange really.

 

i have that same turbo on mine with the triangle 3 bolt flange. im running 6 psi and full boost by 2500 rpm!!!!!! but power tends to die off at around 4700rpm.

 

how big is your exhaust? what kinda fuel stuff you running? mine pulls hard until I get into third and 4th gear. i'm running the stock dx exhaust still! gonna change it out soon after christmas to 2 1/2 or so.

 

i have a custom 2.5 inch down pipe, empty cat, and a Greddy SP exhaust. the turbo doesnt like my reving to 7500rpms...

 

they came standard in many different trims on the phase one subaru impreza wrx,sti and turbo 2000 in this country, although im not a fan of anything ihi myself they arent a bad turbo

 

I just picked up one of those turbos this weekend...
it's a little wobbly, so I'm gonna price out a rebuild kit for it... It looked like it would be a nice setup for a front mounted turbo.. like the D16

great turbo! using it on my z6. spools incredible!about 2500rpm's and pulls to about 7000. worth it for the torque alone. try a chevy sprint intercooler on it with 1 1/2 piping. can you say lata type-r's and vr6's.
