100 or 110 octane is an expensive waste of money for the power typically generated by "that amount of boost"

One or two steps colder on the plugs - fuel of choice, at least when dealing with plain jane gasoline variants, have little to do with combustion chamber temps and what spark plugs you need.

YAAAAARR!!1

C10 is $4.60/gal here, so I ASSumed. Haven't checked on 100LL used at the airport - might have to. I don't plan on running it, but I might as well know what I'm talking about if I'm going to open my yap.

This is kind of a late reply but av gas has lead in it.

100LL - the LL stands for Low Lead.

BTW, US Gov will start imposing tax on avgas either this month or next. Seems truckers have been filling up with kerosene/diesel equivalent fuels to bypass road taxes. Any legit aviation companies/individuals have to fill out paperwork to be reimbursed on this fuel tax.
