I use a sandwich plate for mine. It is pre filtered oil. If my sending unit was more accessible I would have gone that route. I suggest doing that. Simple to put a T on your sending unit. After the sandwich plate mine goes to a T with my aftermarket oil pressure gauge sending unit, then to a needle valve (restrictor) then to the turbo. My turbo is mounted low and in the rear so I use a scavenge pump after the turbo and drain the oil into the passenger side valve cover. Sandwich plate is really simple so if that's what you prefer, go for it.
