you can check codes in that same manner on obd2, but theyre harder to read, atleast you can on an obd2 nissan, get yourself one of those haynes manuals, itll tell you how to do it and what the most common codes are
I had to leave a $170.00 deposit at Auto Zone so I could borrow a diagnostic computer. The idle needed to be adjusted due to the fuel pump. Now no CEL
. I'm gonna keep the diagnostic computer til next weekend incase I get another CEL when I install the turbo
. Thanks for the replies.

for $170. just keep the diagnostic computer. heh
to read the cel codes on an OBD2 civic there's a small blue clip up near the heater fan above the passenger side kick panel (you shouldn't have to remove the panel to access it. It's quite apparent because it's very blue. just short it somehow (paperclip or small piece of wire) turn the ignition on (don't start the car) and count the number of times the cel blinks

long blink=10 short blink=1...there will be a long pause between codes. the blue plug may be pushed into a rubber insulator above the pass side kickpanel. take the code reader back and get your $$ and buy a manual so that you have the error codes listed and can figure out other things as they happen.

I live in Miami, Florida & I had to rent the machine. I get the complete deposit back when I return it, so it's no biggy. All I had to do to erase it was disconnect negative battery terminal for 20 seconds & then reconect it. That scanner is easy as crap to use too.
