OK, doing the math and visiting a few web site, thanks to some individuals from this forum that pointed me in the correct direccion. I came across some numbers that really don't resemble what I got regarding parts. Well, here goes

With a VE of 81.66 and a CI of 132.26, B/S 86.0/86.0 the program gave me the following turbo which will work with my engine.

Garrett Model T25
Comp .55
Turbine HSG A/R 0.49

Remember, I don't want a screamer. I just want some swift moving RAV4 that will take me to and from campus quickly.

Impressions , opinions (and in some cases of some individuals on this forum, their stupidity :1)

What really is important is the majority of the members of this forum their mature adults opinion, like men.

BTW emoretared, love your above picture

that mercedes turbo will outperform the t25. if it really has that .36 a/r turbine, it will spool super quick. Don'T worry.

cars equipped with t25 turbos from the factory were making barely more power than a stock atmospheric rav4. if you use that turbo, not only it won't fit your t3 manif, but it will also lack top end, overheat a lot and fail quickly.

its the same as a saab 42/48, it is a ta03 if you want to get technical. 7psi stock wg and 4-bolt outlets ftw

its off of a mercedes 300d. i sold one to lsturboracer and took 3 months to get it shipped, i know what the turbo is..

Which is the MAP of the turbo that I have? BTW, yes, it's a36 turbine and a 42 compresser. Well, at least that is what the numbers say that are stamped on the metal of each housing.

I've asked the same question: Id myturbo?..
I got lots of replies. some said 42/48, a few 42/42 others said 36/42
I think that its also a 36/42.

it was comming from a WV golf GTD1.6 (in usa called a VW Rabbit i guess) and a Audi Quadro 1.6TD
Correct, it's a 36/42. That what is stamped on the housing.

there you go. 160 HP Max at around 8 psi and up to 200 hp at unrealisitic high boost levels.
And that's just the compressor side.
Who knows where the 0.36 a/r will start acting as a plug on your system? The hole for the exhaust is soooo small. Just look which car it comes from... what hp did it make? Why would this turbine be able to support more power than it's intended application? we all know factory turbos are on the small side. They're maxed out from the factory...

The turbo is too small. Don't use it. At a minimum go with a .42/.48 that can be had cheaply... or look for something even slightly bigger then that. You'll be able to run ~10psi and make your 250whp with a bigger t3, mayhap a 60/63 or something of the sort and have acceptable spooltime.

Look like we have two different opinions. BLAAST says go , and ichbinsobose says, no go . It's like the eternal question; Who came first, the chicken or the egg!

i did not give my opinion. i laid down facts.
if that 160 hp at 8 psi is ok for you, go ahead. if not, go bigger.
