i would think the stock sleaves are thick so they could handle high bost as long as you are running the engine a lil on the rich side. most people blow stock sleaved engines cuz the engines pretty much gernade after the littlest amount of detonation. if your engine management is good i think you could boost mid 20 psi. if the stock sleaves are bored at all there is a good chance that the cylinder walls will shatter.

hey the borderline of where your sleaves will or wont explode(or crack verry bad) is pretty high 20 psi's assuming you didnt bore or hone the crap out of ur cylinder walls. now the fact is if you have any detonation over around 16psi ur fucked. ls engines are pretty stong. get an egt gauge and a wideband o2 setup, as long as your engine doesnt lean out you should be abled to run high boost. peace

k. im runnin a msd sci-l and soon ill have a 3-step rev limiter along with it. the sci boxes are the same as the normal 6a and 6al boxes. its just a sales gimick. i got mine off my bro for free(k i owe him a couple hundred now but its on my car.) =) so unless ur gettin a deal just buy a normal 6al box. i honestly wouldnt go over like 14 with what you got unless u got an egt gauge or wideband o2 to know when you start leanin out. with an eye on the gauges and money on the line id run 20psi. make sure u dont do it constantly tho. just if money is on the line. =) peace

 

o yea safc hack and fmu isnt a good idea is it? lol. cartech makes an fmu thats adjustable? i dunno y u would need one tho.
