projekteg is the best person to ask about this topic.. for some reason he seems to have an indestructable b16 stock.

For the time being It's all in the tuning. An engine will last quite a while longer if it's a good "safe" tune, than an aggressive tune. That is on a stock engine at least.

bull ----, i was pushing 14-15 psi untuned daily for months, leak down test after turbo was flawless

once again, bs, just b/c that's all you can get out of your b16 doesn't mean that's all it's capable of i know people that have pushed as much as 340whp out of completely stock b16's, i know a guy in fl, that was pushing 320whp daily on his stock b16 with no problems

ringlands, if not tuned properly then the piston in general, then rods, then sleeves

i was going to build a b18 block for my next set up, but i'm gonna see exactly how much power the b16 can handle for how long, and have a block waiting for it to go so it won't be a biggy, i want to have hard facts with dyno numbers, afr's, etc. on the 'max' potential of the stock b16.

to answer your question, unless you're ok with the fact that it could blow at any time, i wouldn't run more than 14 psi WELL TUNED! i never really cared if it blew
