Default Big turbo little engine

Anyone have an idea of a spool up time or hell if I'd even spool this ****** up? Alright, I got this T3 60/63 from a friend and its gonna go on my minime B8 shortblock/Z6 head using a HF mani, 2.5 dp to 2.25 exhaust, with 1 1/2-1 3/4 chargepiping. SSL2k is trying like hell to get this from me for his LS but I ain't budging yet. I'm guessing I won't hit or start spooling till around 5k. This may be a lil' overkill but whatthehell!

if you don't want the massive lag just switch to a .48 housing

Dude that turbo is fine.
With the 2.5 inch charge pipes and exhaust it would be spooling at 4k.

With the 2 and 2.25 inch charge pipes I was getting boost before 3500.

U will love it.

I'm using a T3/T4 57 trim with a .63 turbine housing on my D-series that has 8.0:1 compression and I'm not worried about spool time.

that turbo is not that big.. i have a sc61 for my ls/vtec and im not worried.... gitwidit runs a sc61 on his d series and it spools descently..

thats a good turbo to make some nice power with on a d

tell ssl2k that a ihi rhb5 would better suit his application

that is the exact same setup i had. motor/turbo/piping!
i am now running a 42/48 and it's so much better.
the 60/63 spooled around 5000 on the d15. with a better manifold and piping it would have helped, but it sucked on the street. you could sell the 60/63 for a grip and pick up something better for your application for less. good luck, pm me if you got questions.
