Default how much is too much shaft play?

So i just bought this turbo on ebay its supposed to have less than 10k on it with a little shaft play. Theres zero front to back play but the side to side is enough to where the rotors nearly touch the sides. They probably move 1/16 to an 1/8 either direction. Is it the bearings that go out? If so where would I fond presision turbo bearings? I need info quick this guys a douchebag and if is a bad part i want it sent back to him with a full refund.

there is the ;link. let me know what you think. the thing is spotless outside has a little biuldup on the hotside but other than that its in really good looking shape.

If i had to rebiuld it how much does it usually run? Mike

pour a little 10w30 right into the oil feed port on the centersection, spin it a few times. No in out play is acceptable, side to side play is acceptable soo long as the fins on the wheels do not scrape the housings. If you needed to swap out those bearings you could do it for like $20... they should take standard T3 bronze bearings, but from the sounds of it it probably is ok to use as is

Sounds like it's still a good turbo.

Wait a minute? You gave this guy negative feedback yesterday, when the auction ended Nov 28th (a Monday) and he probably didn't ship it until the next day, or the next, it was close to Thanksgiving, also close to Christmas, also being that it is the holidays and everyone is backed up with mail, AND you live in Alaska and are complaining that it took two weeks to get from San Diego to Alaska?....and it arrived afterall, apparently as you posted a thread about it?

Pardon my French, but you're a ------- douchebag.

actually no he got negative feedback for waiting so damn long to ship ity. i paid priority mail for his payment to get to him and for me to get my package which means i should have gotten it within a week. No excuses when items are paid for. 2 weeks is too damn long when it takes a max of 6 days to deliver both ways. Im no douchebag but hes a shady ******
