Yes, it can increase the lag. But if you use a MBC with the shimmed actuator, it won't start to open until the ball valve allows boost to go to the actuator. I've had good luck doing it this way on a few of my buddies setups. But when you get to the point of running larger amounts of boost, you'll have to get rid of the shims, or the exhaust will start pushing open the flapper valve before the MBC allows boost to reach the actuator.

alright cool..... thanks guys you really helped me out alot ill prob just keep it at 7lb but if i do change it i can just change the length of the acuactor?? shorten= less boost lengthen= more boost right??
