im just going to lost the whole actuator itself and mount me a spring (or 2) on there until i get the desired boost level, hey if the spring falls off ill just have no boost.

Techincally, you can if the MBC is set above what your wastegate actuator is doing.
Otherwise, you can only go as low as what the actuator is set at. I would just get a new/used.
