i have home depot couplers (even comin off the turbo) and it only came off once(but thats because of the way my piping is not lined up right) but its never melted

Just so you know, the TD04 only describes the center housing. There is nearly a dozen different TD04 turbos. Your turbos full name is the TD04-13G. The 13G specifies the wheel sizes. The TD05 everyone is telling you to upgrade to is a TD05-14B.

Crank up the boost before you upgrade. The 13G should stay efficient up to about 17psi.

drop that vtec down lower. a friend with a f22b said he hardly spooled his t28 until vtec comes in. that head doesnt flow ---- out of tec.

ur not running near to enough boost to cause any damage. when u decide to boost more then 5 psi? they start to heat up if its pre-intercooler. i think if its after ic it should be fine. if u run them directly off the turbo they jus ------ blow out. every single one ive used. u think they make silicone connectors for no reason? home depot is made for plumbing n ---- n i doubt they use it on super hot water pipes.

i guess i've been lucky!! the coupler is right off the turbo(pre-intercooler side) i still dont have my intercooler on the car and i drive it at about 5-8psi i have gone to 15psi(but not for too long)....kirk you need to check out my turbo

haha man, ive been planning to lol. im sorry man. ill try my hardest to check it out this weekend. and man if i were u i'd stay under 7 with no ic. 15psi wtf? ill call u on saturday for sure. ill give u my number so u can bug the ---- outta me til i come haha.

So are you saying I should just keep the td04-13g. I have the option of getting one and putting it on but is it worth the effort?!?

we have different engines, if you read right I have the f22a1 NON-VTEC...I dont need no vtec , the turbo does that for me
