I welded an extension off the compressor of about 6 inches so its not coming off anymore, but it does get hot. unfortunately, I have the 13g i think, another name for the td04, I have a friend that has a td05 so im going to buy that and see the difference cause I do get full boost around 4.5 grand and I always shift early cause the power seems to stay the same over 5000 rpm's. The little thing pulls hard though considering I only have about 6-7 pounds of boost but I do get some delay in transition to boost cause of it being so rich. I like the sound of the dsm bov to but Im most likely going to get a greddy type s.
Crank up the boost before you upgrade. The 13G should stay efficient up to about 17psi.

ur not running near to enough boost to cause any damage. when u decide to boost more then 5 psi? they start to heat up if its pre-intercooler. i think if its after ic it should be fine. if u run them directly off the turbo they jus ------ blow out. every single one ive used. u think they make silicone connectors for no reason? home depot is made for plumbing n ---- n i doubt they use it on super hot water pipes.
and i drive it at about 5-8psi i have gone to 15psi(but not for too long)....kirk you need to check out my turbo
