Re:hi all... first post... could use some help
are you serious? dude thats freakin tight!!! but still... hehehhe... i have no idea what parts i need to make a manifold. dude im so sorry for being so retarded guys. but honestly... this is like day 3 in terms of doing research and learning about turbos. im still learning a lot so excuse me for asking stupid questions.
so this is what ive concluded so far.
1. i need a custom manifold to have AC, and an adapter to connect the manifold to the turbo
2. i need a turbo of some sort (14b, t25, t3)
3. i need some kind of tubing, but ive decided that i want to use radiator hoses for EVERYTHING.
4. i need a BOV but i think that a DSM one will be fine.
5. i need a bunch of clamps or what not but wont need elbows since im using radiator hoses.
6. i need some kind of intercooler, side or front mount i dont care
7. i need an intake or cone filter to stick on the turbo.
8. i need some kind of fuel management
is that about it?
what should i be looking for right now?
are there any errors in my understanding of FI right now?

well first off I got the turbo... this way i knew what kind of manifold or adapter plate i would need... and how much space it would use. then i bought the intercooler at the junkyard... then I got an HF manifold... but i didnt want to use that... so i bought a custom one.. and as far as piping.. i already told you what I am going to be using. for fuel management... get some 450cc DSM turbo (blue top) injectors.. and go to www.recycler.com and look for an apex SAFC.. or any AFC would do. hey im going to be installing the kit this weekend .. if you want to come over and help or just watch how its done...... and dont worry.... i was a noob once...theres nothing wrong with asking questions... but try to do some research on your own.. you cant learn everything in one day... ive been researching this for a year now.. and im still learning new ---- ...

dude.... me and you gotta hit the junkyard on a weekend or something.... thats where i got my turbo at.... i think theres a few in pacoima. Im not 100% sure... unless you want to drive all the way down to long beach. but we'll find you something... I usually buy them with the dowpipe flange, oil inlet, outlet. and anything else it could use (gasket, bolts)

Hey Ghetto D where in OC are ya? i'm right here in Diamond Bar man....There's a yard I go to off the 60 and Miliken (by the Ontario airport) that has tons of old hondas for resistor boxes, and a TON of chryslers and Volvos (for turbos) it's $2 to get in and manifolds cost $20 and anything you can fit in your toolbox or pockets is free! Don't go to the one off of Pyrite & 60 they suck. I went there last week and got a turbo off an older Mazda and they wanted to charge me $120!!! I was like ---- that and dropped that ---- right there.....it was a clean little Garret too! dammit!

Re:hi all... first post... could use some help
one of my buddies is running an APEXi kit and hes using the vortech 12:1 fmu, fuel pump, and missing link setup for his fuel management. hes got some money now and hes thinking about getting the AFC and using the hack so he said he'd sell me his used fuel mgmt setup. he asked me to make an offer and since we're good friend and i know NOTHING about turbos i just wanted to ask you guys whats a good price for those 3 things. he'll probably throw in the tubes and connectors and what not but thats negligible.
i tried lookin on ebay but that wasnt much help.
how much would you guys pay for just those 3 items (VORTECH, PUMP, and MISSING LINK, all used BTW)
thanx in advance...
