Default Help routing the oil return line

The oil return line makes a huge bend to get around the downpipe- it's nearly horizontal when reaching the oil pan. Crappy downpipe I got in a kit

I was thinking of cutting 1/2" off the barb meeting the turbo so it'll be more flexible at the top, and cutting a few inches off the line's end so I can get a better angle into the oil pan (it's about 16" long now). Good idea?

Also how far should it be from the downpipe and how high on the oil pan should the fitting be?

Thanks

T25.

Go to home depot, Buy a 2" pipe to replace that barbed fitting, Then attach a 45 degree fitting and screw your barbed fitting into that. From looking at it, This should naturally direct the return line around your downpipe. I'd use a small support wire/bracket to hold the line away from the downpipe. Just make sure the line is runs down for the oil is gravitationally fed back to the oil pan.
