Default help, oil leake in exhaust side of turbo (pic)

hi guys, I need some help please... I buy this turbo in ebay... is used... garrett t3 model: tb0363

I put a little oil inside and leave it in this position...

the next day I found oil in the exhaust shaft and all the oil came out from the exhaust shaft..

it need to be rebuild

If I buy a rebuild kit and I rebuild myself I need to balance the turbo or not?

thank`s for the help---

always re-build a used turbo. the kit is only ~50.00. as long as the shaft and wheels are not damaged and you mark the wheel to the shaft when you disassemble the turbo you should not have to re-balance it.

hi mate they all leak if you leave them standing up in that postion.the seal as to have a bit of movement around it for the shaft to move so there will be a small gap[clearance]

I sent mine out after buying a used one. I don't have enough knowledge about rebuilding one. These guys were the cheapest I found online to rebuild my turbo (USED CHEAP TURBOS | San Diego Rebuilding T3 T4 Turbo Parts). You also get a warrenty on the turbo for I think 6 months and they keep you up to date on what they replaced and contact you if there is anything else wrong with the turbo.
