Hey nice job, not a fan of ford but your doing good. First post with **** and car.... its amazing someone actually read the stickies before posting some dumb *** questions. Btw you might want to blur out your name/address and your license plate number, But other than that - good job.

Re: hello with boobies *nws*
well ---- guys...just cant catch a break. i got a bum turbo. the oil seals are toast. so i can either rebuild the one i have or get a junkyard turbo. any suggestions on which way i should go? i found one on a saab that has got absolutely zero shaft play. depending on how much they want for that ill probably pick it up...or i can go with a 60/63 turbo from a turbocoupe, but i dont know that i want or need to go that big. the most i ever want to run is 15 lbs on this engine and thats only if i can get enough fuel for that, which i should be able to. anyways heres a picture of it installed.
and my downpipe
this is where the exhaust ends for now

Re: hello with boobies *nws*
who cares about my advice, but still here it is:
don't use the boost pressure as a justification of the size of turbo you need. 15 psi means nothing. Use your power goals for turbo sizing purposes. if you are shooting for more than say 260HP, defintely get the .63 a/r turbine and one way or another, that 50 trim .42 a/r chrylser compressor is way small, i am SURE you would max it out even at low boost with tis engine. you need a t3 60 trim or even a small T4 compressor.
yep. in order to catch a break with turbo problems, you are better to have the turbo rebuilt than getting another 15-20 years old used one at the junkyard.

Re: hello with boobies *nws*
well i picked up a turbo from a junked saab last night for 50 bucks, spent 30 bucks on some pvc pipe and started getting this ---- done. i got most of my intercooler piping done last night before i ran out of light, got the saab turbo off of the saab exhaust manifold and swapped all of the oil feed and drain fittigs from the old turbo to the new one. i figure i have about an hour worth of work left at this point. the hard part now is going to be getting the vane air meter to fit in this thing somewhere...and figuring out how the ---- im goign to mount it

Re: hello with boobies *nws*
50 bucks isnt bad... You are on the right track, just try it out and if the 42/48 runs out of steam in top end then that will prolly be more annoying than waiting til almost 4k for a 60/63 to fully boost
