if you want a cheap valve that reacts as well at 2psi as it does at 20psi and will hold as much boost as you can throw at it without leaking and without any sort of adjustment necessary, try a stock MR2 valve. you can get em for about $50, and they wouldn't require any more fabrication to install than any other valve.

i have a greddy type-s on my talon right now and there is noticeable surge even with the spring set light. i have one of the MR2 valves on my desk waiting to go on to replace it. it should COMPLETELY eliminate teh compressor surge.

 

Ive had mine for a over a year and I like it. I had the same issues as others, but after cutting some of the spring it worked fine.
