One guy said he cut 1/2 of a coil off and it worked liek a gem...true

talking abt the SSQ? it doesnt have the normal ricey sound but its very nice. has a fluttering sound....

My friend used it for a week and bought a RFL, I'm using blitz bov and I like it alot.

my friend who works at a machine shop has been making me a BOV its just about done..i'm having trouble getting a spring..******* at WSS were like.."uh dude, you need a part number..I can't just get you a 7psi spring?!" anyways..i'll get pics up when its done just for ***** and giggles.

yeah, worked fine after i trimed it a little. try cutting like half a coil off, go for a quick drive, see how it does. if its still not soft enough, cut a little more off until you get the perfect amount for your setup.

why do you need a "7psi spring"? just get a spring thats stiff enough to hold it closed at 0 pressure. when under boost, both sides of the bov piston are pressureized at the same levels, so it will have the same effect as if it were at 0 pressure. when you close the throttle, then the vac side of the piston goes into vac while the boost side stays under pressure cause the piston to be sucked and pushed up at the same time. the spring rate doesnt determine when it opens, only how much boost it can hold. you cant use a real soft spring on say a 30psi setup and you cant use a real hard stiff spring on a low boost setup obviously. just get a spring that will hold the piston down good enough so theres some pressure on the piston. just go buy a spring . if its too long/stiff, trim it a little.
