Has Anyone Made a T25/T3 Hybrid Turbo?
I'm wondering if its possible to bolt a t-3 compressor wheel and compressor housing onto a T-25 from a DSM....
I don't know whether it's been done, but it would almost seem like the thing to do on my car, since I have a small, weak motor, and I would like faster spoolup.

Rolla, it sounds like you got a fresh 4AFE back in your ride? i asked about making a hybrid like that, the guys said the parts werent interchangeable. i was going to try it anyway, but the junkyard saab with the T3 i was going to use had been already pilfered - someone had taken the shaft and wheels out of the chra and put the housings back on it, and hooked up the exhaust and intake pipes...wtf...so i dunno

Yeah, I gots a junkyard 65,000 mile motor for my birthday! YAY parents!!!! So I put it in 2 weekends ago, and my car's ready to rock and roll. I'm just gettin' the turbo kit back together the way I want it before it goes back into the ride.

I know what you meen, but I'm gonna try it out cause you got electronic advance and your timing was so advanced at lower boost.
I got vacume advance so I won't have that problem...only problem would be that the timing will be advancing as boost builds up...so I will put some(3 to 4) check valves between each going and coming from the duzzy line..so it won't read more than atmosphere when I'm boosting....and hopefully will not advance my timing thus staying at the stock timing when a WOT. I just need something to control my in 450cc injectors and will fool the map at the same time. If I had the AFC hack I would have the same problem...only thing is I would be able to control the fuel at each rpm range, but I'm going to rich it out a little by setting it at 3.2 volts...that's why I'm planning on only boosting 7-8 psi to avoid a CEL...but i doubt I will get any cause this pre-OBD ecu don't give me any CEL ever when I had problems with the car. I don't even have a 02 sensor. In the mean time I still need to buy that EEPROM so i can chip my ECU than I can control the fuel much better...(I got bills to pay)and then I will set the voltage lower and give it some more fuel and boost it up.
I don't care if it blows up though just doing a little experiment...I'm going to buy a new car when it does...I have the money saved up in a savings account for the new car only.

dood when u start switching turbines and shafts into differant centers, your asking for trouble. unbalanced badly your engine could eat a fin!
if your doing that talk to a turbo shop and see what they think, u may think the turbine fits the shaft but it could be as little as 0.015 off and screw up everything.

Re:Has Anyone Made a T25/T3 Hybrid Turbo?
shortyz, what i had in mind was putting the compressor and chra + shaft and impellers from a T3 into a DSM T25 exhaust housing, i wasnt gonna take it apart. it looked like the T3 and the T25 exhaust housings mated the same way to their respective chra's, just an exhaust housing swap...i didnt try tho cuz some *** pulled the shaft and impellers out of the junkyard T3 and then put it all back together...hope their pocketed goods bites them on the *** with an unbalanced setup lmao
