a block gaurd helps against walk, not cracking. if you detonate a b20 block, its gonna crack wether or not you have a block gaurd. if you can get one cheap, then go for it.
just make sure you dont detonate.
theres a kid here that has a b20z running 9psi, block gaurd and tuned very very good. he has been boosting for 2 or 3 summers (only summer car, wont drive it in the winter). as long as you dont go around with boost and no tuning, you should be alright with 5psi.

I hate to be the one that burst your bubble, but dude, if you've just had a newborn a month ago why dont you save your money and use it as emergency money on the side when you might need it. A car is a car and it will always be there, but your child will grow fast and you better enjoy him or her... Take care of your kid... (but you are your own...)

thats why im trying to keep it on a low budget, plus i only pay $100 for the motor of a very good friend of mines , so should i boost or spray i all ready got a dry nitrous kit
