good or bad reviews on the T04B/which t04b for me?
Sup guys, ive been checkin out the T04B turbo from Bullseye. They offer 2 trims that im interested in, but I dont know which is good for my setup, and if theyre good turbos to begin with. So if anyone does business with them or has a turbo from them let me know.
the first setup has a 38 lb/min, which is similar to a ported clipped big 16g, so i hear.
the second setup is a 48lb/min, which is 4 lbs larger than a mitsu 20G. They claim to have top end of a 8cm2 housing with spool of a 6-7cm2 compressor.
I only want 250ish hp on my stock bottom F20A 2 liter. 6500-7000 reline, auto trans for now, 8 psi is fine, and im tuning with Uber. The reason i want the t04b is because i would like to keep my manifold that im using.
thanks for any help.

whats up mang... i doubt youll be able to pull that much hp from 8psi with that turbo....
get this bad boy at 10 psi and itll be no problem and you can still use the dsm mani

the 38lb/min sounds like a S trim and the bigger is the V trim. I would look into a T04e compressor before a T04b. the T04b's have nasty surge lines and arent very efficien. you should be able to make 250whp with a T3 60trim and with a .63 a/r it would rev to 7000 with no problem. a t3 60trim flows 34lb/min of air. I suggest looking into a T04e 46trim(41lb min) and way more efficent than the T04b's with a more stable surge line. all turbo's I listed still have a t3 foot print. make sure you get a .63 turbine housing and either a t31 69 trim turbine wheel(stage II) or 76trim(stage III) other wise you'll choke off some of the top end power. T04e 50trim is a very nice cannidate as well but you'll pay more for one of those. I have a t3/t4, .63 a/r stage II/t04e 46trim that I have in the for sale section if your interested. new/rebuilt. but you dont have to take my word for it. but out a few compressor maps and learn to read them.

wow 52 lb/min. compared to my 14b haha.
the t04e is also a dsm upgrade? remember I would like a t3t4, but only if i can keep my manifold. 250 whp is alot for me, sorry i meant to say 225. I also need that quick spool since im still auto at the moment. Is the t04e capable of fast spool? I'll do more research tonight, thanks again.
this is the turbo i had in mind

wow 700 for a turbo ouch. I wasn't paying attention to the fact that your running a dsm turbo. I have a guy localy that builds a "sleeper 16g" its a td06h turbine wheel machined to fit into a 7cm housing mated to a 18g compwheel that is machined to fit into a td05h compressor housing. I believe that the turbo is about the same price and it would be a direct bolt on compared to what you have. I think bullseye makes a turbine housing to most any garrett turbo but there $220 If you have an extra 1/2" to spare and wouldn't mind modifing your dp you could buy a adapter plate to adapt a garrett turbo. it would not only cost alot less, it would also open a wide range of possibilities. but the next least expensive route would be to run a big 16g. you can find them for less than $500 sometimes. that should get you close to your goal, but like stated earlier more boost would help. I'd convert to a garrett personally.

yea 700 bones . bullseye does make the housing for dsm bolt on, whihc is included in the t04B they offer. According to them, the 700 dollar one out flows the ported and clipped big 16g (38lb/min) and it has the spool of the 6-7cm2 housing...so i dunno. I cant seem to find a good evo3 turbo anywhere. that would be much easier for me, as long as its almost brand new.
