I have the cheap Plasma/TIG/ARC combo from Ebay and Hotrex can verify it does cut nicely and drops a nice TIG weld. I am very pleased for the money. The 30amp unit like I have WILL NOT cut more than 1/4 thick steel. I dont know whats advertised but it barely get through 1/4. Sheet metal, Schedule 10 and 40 SS pipe, and up to 3/16" is like butter though.

In addition to my TIG/ARC/Plasma Cutter I also own a Lincoln 135 MIG. I like it very much. Food for thought.
