I have a D16Z6 and I am running 10 psi untuned with no problem. Will get it dyno tuned soon. There are turbos with A/R 48/60 that are referred to as "Super 60." I currently have one made by Garrett. Before the "Super 60" I had a Garrett T3 with A/R 42/48. With a mild ported head, Zex cam, larger throttle body, ACT clutch etc., my D was dynoed at 191WHP and torque 172FT-LBS. The D has a lot of potential. For the best result, you MUST tune it on a dyno.

Beerbongkicksass is making 215WHP with a Super 60 on a stock D. Take a look at his profile, and you'll see the numbers.

You will notice a HUGE difference between 6psi untuned on a slipping clutch and 10psi tuned on a good clutch. I think once you get your setup dialed in you will be happy. Being able to tell people it's the stock sohc that came in the car is pretty cool also.

no offense Tuning Art, but is english your primary language?

Plus don't you think you'll be in the exact same boat with a B series after a couple months of no tuning and factory clutch?

Build the d...

I'll be building my D up so that it's bulletproof. H beams, forged pistons, yada.

I don't know what turbo to use though... Thinking T3/T4 around 60/60 or maybe smaller...? Whadda think?
