Anyone have experience with these from a single turbo old school 300zx? I am debating between using one or going with one of the hitachi twins from an rx7. I already have both turbochargers and just need some info on the garrett.

i'm using one in my 99'si b16, boosting to 11psi. it's a good turbo. full boost (11psi) in 2nd gear by 4800 rpm. it'll give you good mid range to top end power and it will make power upto redline, unlike a smaller turbo that'll just start making your power fall at 6000 rpm. the internall wastegate is brings is set at 6.5 psi. this is on a stock internalled b16. 246hp 212tq at 11psi.

 

treb any problems running at 11psi or above yet? I'm about to crank my shiet up as soon as I get my a/c working and an e-cutout on it.

 

it used to go upto 15psi in 5th gear but i only did that a few times. no problems. what's an e-cut out?

 

its an electronic cutout for the exhaust. I hate my damn exhaust its just too noisy for me. I want one of those lil cutout that with a push a button we go from stock exhaust to straight up "OPEN DOWNPIPE" in like 3-5 seconds!

So what type of downpipe flange do I need to use with this turbocharger? The 5 bolt that I have will not work.
