Default Fuel ratio

I have a 93 DX w/ 150,000 mile on it... The engine is still strong and has been well maintained.... i have a Td05 turbo w/ a intercooler... I am going to get a Vortech FMU for fuel management, but i need to know what ratio i should get for the FMU 8:1 / 10:1 / 12:1... i'm lost on this one

tough to say, if you are going to keep boost low... 5-6psi stay with either the 8 or 10.. alot of people like the 12:1 fmu's

How much boost(safely) can you run with the 12:1 fmu and a aftermarket fuel pump for fuel management.

every setup is different, so I can not tell you exactly, its more a try it out and find out. Get a air fuel gauge and make sure your not running lean.

What would be considered lean? well if your EGT temps are over 1200, and your air fuel gauge is pegged in the red, that is what I would consider lean. Not to mention you will probably hear it pinging..

For 8psi, I wouldnt even dick around with an FMU.

I'm saying you need to look into a different type of engine management. SMC/AFC/Fields hack, or an injector controller, to run that much boost safely..

But this is just My opinion..
