Default fluttering noise

I just got a 03' Mazdaspeed protoge. Its got about 300 miles on it. It has no BOV and evey time I shift there is a sorta fluttering sound, I am wondering if this is the turbo back spooling or what?

Also after I shut the engine off there is this ping noise, I was thinking this was just things cooling off but I wasnt sure.

Let me know what you guys think,

get a BOV. that's the noise. The ping is the thing cooling down, it will go away once the car is older....

You sure yours doesn't have a blowoff valve? My buddy has one of those Mazda Speeds and his has a bov. It's just a little black plastic thing, so thats probably what your hearing. It's not very loud either but it does make a fluttering sound.
